Trisha Yearwood Shares New Duet With Husband Garth Brooks

Country music star Trisha Yearwood has shared a new duet with her husband Garth Brooks.

The song, titled “What Gave Me Away,” was shared exclusively with People ahead of the release of Yearwood’s upcoming album, Every Girl.

“What Gave Me Away” is a blues-influenced mid-tempo track that talks about attraction between two people who have just met and realize they have a connection.

“Did you see it when it hit me / Feel it when you kissed me / All night long / Was it when you took me home and I woke up in the morning with your T-shirt on / Baby, did you know all along?” The couple sing together in the chorus.

“The song describes such an intimate moment between two people,” Yearwood tells People. “I couldn’t imagine asking anyone else to sing on this song except Garth. He’s my person. He’s my crush.”

Every Girl is Yearwood’s first studio album of all-new songs since 2007. The album is set to drop on August 30.
