AJ Pritchard has opened up on his brother Curtis’ new girlfriend Maura Higgins and commented on the pair’s relationship in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional’s sibling shot to fame earlier this year when he appeared in the latest series of Love Island, where he found love with Maura.
Maura and Curtis recently officially announced they were an official couple exclusively with OK! magazine, where the loved-up couple gushed about their blossoming relationship.
They said they are happy together and Maura said he still gives her ‘f***y flutters ’, however, AJ has revealed that the relationship isn’t always so rosy, saying the pair "do get a bit heated."
On his brother’s girlfriend he said: “She does make me laugh. Sometimes her and Curtis do get a bit heated, but I think that’s just her Irish side.
“They are feisty people. My grandma is half Irish and she was exactly the same, so Curtis is well prepared.
“It’s nice that we have girlfriends at the same time – who’d have thought it? I thought Curtis would be way ahead of me.”
AJ is currently dancing up a storm on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing with YouTuber partner Saffron Barker, whom the dancer has been romantically linked to.
The 24-year-old has, however, shut down rumours that he is getting together with Saffron, insisting he his happy with girlfriend Abbie Quinnen, 22.

He was recently grilled on Good Morning Britain by Piers Morgan about the alleged romance and was also told he was “punching above his weight” with Abbie.
Responding to these comments he said to OK!: "You know you’re going to be asked certain questions, even when you say you don’t want to answer.
“When it comes to that sort of thing it doesn’t really bother me because I know who I am, so does Abbie."

In an interview with OK! online, he went into more detail about why people are even entertaining the thought of them dating.
"I think for me when people say that we’re in a relationship, I think it’s because people want it to become that,” he said.
He continued: “You spend so much time together with your partner, we’re training 12 hours a day, we want our dance to be so good on Saturday night so that everyone enjoys it and you can’t just do that by sending a handful of hours together.
“You just spend that time together and you do get close because you have the same goal, the same passion and love for dance and creating a beautiful piece each week.”
The choreographer also went into detail about why his seven-month relationship with Abbie makes him so happy.
“It’s really nice for me because obviously she understands the same dance world, she’s a performer, she’s a dancer and she dances all over the world.
“It's really nice, happy and really relaxing for me which is very important to have. Obviously, I work very hard in my business life and it’s so important to have that relaxation and someone to call upon at home.”
AJ has also introduced Abbie to his brother Curtis and his girlfriend Maura and even went on a triple date with other Love Island alumni Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.
He said: "We actually had a triple date with Curtis, Maura, Tommy [Fury] and Molly [Hague]. It was such a fun night."
