Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke, 54, and his wife Hannah Summers tied the knot in 2017. The couple welcomed their three-year-old twins George and Henrietta the same year.

The BBC professional recently joined Ainsley Harriott where he showcased his baking expertise.

The dancer shared a rare insight into his home life with his wife and young children and cheekily joked he would prefer if friends didn’t come to his home for a visit.

Anton explained that his other half loved to entertain guests at the couple’s abode but he has never been too keen.

It comes after TV host Ainsley quizzed: “Do you ever have friends over because you’ve got the children and you’re not touring as much?”

“You’re not going out as much. I think you can concentrate a bit more with youngsters at home.”

Speaking on the ITV show, Ainsley’s Food We Love, Anton replied: “Well, you don’t really want to go away so much.

“So, I don’t really do anything now that really makes me stay away from home. Certainly not for longer than a night.”

Ainsley continued: “But do you ever entertain though? Have a few friends round?”

“My wife Hannah loves it. She loves having people come round and entertaining,” the Strictly star remarked.

“I don’t really. I’d rather nobody came round.”

He explained: “Because I like to be at home with Hannah and the children. It’s like my favourite thing in the world.”

Anton quickly added: “But… we’ve got some lovely friends.”

Ainsley interjected: “You might have to say that now because they may be watching.”

“Of course. They’re all lovely and I love you all. Please come again,” Anton remarked with a weary expression on his face.

He cheekily finished: “Do you have to stay so long?”

His cheeky admission comes after he appeared on Ainsley’s show where viewers see their favourite famous faces cook up their favourite dishes and present the finished cuisine to the culinary chef.

Meanwhile, Anton took to Twitter and requested a recount of the Strictly votes after a social media user predicted it was his year to win the BBC show despite being eliminated from the competition last week.

The person in question penned: “Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on @BBCOne

“Who’s your favourite so far? Could this be @TheAntonDuBeke year?”

In view of his 252,000 followers, Anton quipped: “Appreciate the support, but you may need to request a recount on last week’s vote!”
