Barbra Streisand‘s cloned dogs paid tribute to their late “mother.”
The 77-year-old film and music icon recently took Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, who were cloned from her 14-year-old Coton du Tulear named Samantha, to visit Samantha’s grave. Streisand had her dogs pose behind the grave to pay tribute to Samantha.
“The twins Scarlet and Violet honoring their mom (with cousin Fanny in the center!) ?,” she captioned the photo.
Before Samantha died in 2017, Streisand had cells taken from her mouth and stomach to produce Violet and Scarlett.
“They have different personalities,” Streisand told Variety in 2018.
Page Six confirmed that Billionaire Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg also cloned their beloved Jack Russell terrier, Shannon, into two puppies in 2016.
Cloning dogs costs up to $100,000 and is done by a Korean firm that implants DNA into a dog egg.
