Bigg Boss 14: Rahul Vaidya explains why he will NOT fall in love on the show [Exclusive]

Rahul Vaidya is finally going inside the Bigg Boss 14 house. He has been offered the show time and again, but finally decided to take it up. Did the lockdown kind of prepare him for the reality show? “The lockdown made me realise that you do not need a lot of things to be happy in life. There is no real need to go shopping, party or eat out at fancy restaurants. You need very little to be happy. You just do not need those 100s of clothes, accessories, perfumes and whatever in your closet. It was a learning period.” The singer has been active in the entertainment industry after Indian Idol. Rahul Vaidya says he has never watched Bigg Boss before. It was only after signing the contract did he catch up on Bigg Boss 13.

“I watched last season online. I really liked Sidharth Shukla’s approach and how he was himself good, bad or ugly,” says Rahul. He says he has no idea on who will be his mentor inside the house. The singer says he has no game plan. “I feel you cannot strategize in Bigg Boss. You have to take it as it comes. I want to have a good time, and make sure that people are entertained as well,” he says. One of the best ways to stand out in the house is romance or showmance. “See, I do not think I will fall in love inside the house. I do not see it happening though I am single. Also, to create a successful showmance, you need to really connect with someone. I cannot fake all this,” he says.

We also asked Rahul Vaidya about his alleged relationship with Disha Parmar. He says, “They are just rumours. There is no truth in it. I am single right now.” The charming singer says he is a very calm person. “I do not flare up at the drop of a hat. I can keep to myself and do not need attention,” he says. Finally, we asked him what made him say yes to Bigg Boss 14 after such a long time. And how does he feel it will benefit his career? “I want to have a good time. I am very comfortable with myself and have no insecurities. I just hope that people enjoy watching me on the show,” he asserts.

Finally, he said that his mom was in tears when he left for the stipulated quarantine period. “She was too jittery and nervous. But now, she is fine. Mom told me to have a good time on the show,” he signs off.
