Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd inspect work at £1.4m mansion after admitting renovation regret

Billie Faiers and husband Greg Shepherd’s £1.4 million mansion renovation is nearing completion, and the couple has been spotted surveying the building work.

Billie, who recently shared her shock after a stranger smacked her son Arthur, her husband Greg and their two children Nelly, seven, and four year old Arthur are preparing to move into the dream home after months of work, which has faced multiple delays.

The couple were seen today taking a delivery of 70 tons of soil for the house’s garden. Billie was wearing sportswear under a large puffer jacket, while Greg opted for jeans and a lightweight jacket as they were seen surrounded by diggers, skips and tradespeople on the renovation site.

The couple purchased the house in January 2020, but were hit with pandemic-related delays, meaning over two years later the work on the house is still not quite finished.

Family Diaries star Billie, 32, recently admitted she and husband Greg, 37, probably "wouldn't do it again" as they were quizzed on the dream home build.

Billie, who has also been embroiled in a row with her neighbours at the mansion, was asked by the Daily Mail what she wished she had done differently with the build, to which the reality star replied: "We probably wouldn't have done it."

And, although it "feels like forever" Billie explained she hopes the family will move into their new pad in time to enjoy their outdoor pool in the summer.

"Greg can't wait for a pool party," Billie laughed, as she admitted that her friends and family always quiz her on when the home will be ready.

When asked what the biggest room in the house is, Greg said Billie's dressing room takes to crown.

But, mum-of-two Billie snapped back: "It's not the biggest!" before erupting into fits of giggles when she realised her dressing room was the biggest – aside from the kitchen and living area.

Speaking about her vision for the interior design of the home, Bille revealed she had taken inspiration from Khloe Kardashian's Calabasas abode.

"I really like clean everywhere, and I think so and Khloe Kardashian's home is always perfect, like her bedroom. Sort of light colours that she goes for and I'm definitely going to keep the house light and airy," she said.

It comes after Greg revealed the build on the five bedroom pad has been "stressful".

In an interview with OK!, Greg explained: "It's getting there, slowly but surely getting there. It's very very stressful, but getting there. If we stick to the plan, it will be completed in the next three to four months."

When asked how his kids Nelly, eight, and Arthur, four, have been during the renovations, he explained: "The kids are okay because we're not living amongst it because we're living in the house we've been in for the last 10 years.

"It's not that stressful for them."
