Following a hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny scheduled a hearing on June 23 to allow Britney to speak on the “status of the conservatorship.”

Her court-appointed probate attorney, Samuel Ingham, asked the court to set the date “on an expedited basis,” but did not indicate further what Britney wanted to say in court.

The conservatorship has been in place for 13 years, but she has recently made it clear via her legal representation that she no longer wants father Jamie Spears to be her conservator.

The judge appointed Bessemer Trust as co-conservator alongside her father last fall, which has not yet taken effect.

The attorneys also gave the court updates on various motions and accounting issues related to the conservatorship, and another hearing was set to address those issues on July 14.

There is also more information about her parents battling in court over the conservatorship fees.
