David Tennant expecting fifth child with wife Georgia as he announces pregnancy

David Tennant has announced he's expecting his FIFTH child with wife Georgia.

The Doctor Who star shared the exciting pregnancy news during an appearance on US talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The 48-year-old, who was on the show to promote his role in series Good Omens, broke the news to his pal.

James said: "David, we were just talking backstage, this is blowing my mind. You have four children already, your oldest is 17. You just told me you and your wife, the lovely Georgia, are expecting your fifth child."

The studio audience erupted into cheers and applause as David said: "Five is a lot."

The actor also joked that his eldest son Ty was giving them lectures on contraception.

Georgia, 34, is the daughter of former Doctor Who star Peter Davison.

She and David met when she starred alongside him in the sci-fi show in episode The Doctor's Daughter in 2008.

She played a genetically-engineered 'daughter' of her now-husband.

They married in 2011.

David said: "What’s really weird about it is we’re now getting lectures on birth control from our 17-year-old son. And that’s definitely meant to be the other way around.

"He’s like, 'Come on, do I need to teach you the basics?' It’s mental, five is a lot."

Dad-of-three James told him: "I have three children, and I already can’t keep up with the volume of birthdays. It’s always a child’s birthday."

David and Georgia's eldest son recently made his TV debut in Casualty.

He played a young patient called Aaron who suffered a seizure.

David and Georgia are also parents to Olive, eight, Wilfred, six, and Doris, four.
