Deepika Padukone says ‘love you champ’ as PV Sindhu calls her a talented and beautiful actress | Bollywood Life

Ace badminton player PV Sindhu recently created history as she bagged a gold medal at BWF World Championship. Wondering why her win was so special? Well, Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to win a gold at this championship. With biopics being made on great personalities, this seems to be the right time when a film on PV Sindhu’s life and her achievement should be portrayed on the silver screen. Sonu Sood, back in 2017, had announced that he will for sure make a biopic on the badminton player’s life and we feel the right time has arrived. Post her victory, PV Sindhu went on to express her desire of Deepika Padukone doing her biopic.

Also, in a recent interview, the sportsperson was all praises for the Bajirao Mastani actress and said, “Deepika is a very talented and beautiful actress as well.” She was asked to name her favourite actors from Bollywood and DP was definitely a part of the same.

Reacting to PV Sindhu’s sweet words, Deepika Padukone herself took to her Instagram story and replied, “Love you champ!.” And we secretly wish that the actress gives her nod to do PV Sindhu’s biopic when offered.

Meanwhile, check out Deepika Padukone’s Instagram story here:

Expressing her wish of Deepika Padukone doing her biopic, PV told Hindustan Times, “Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision.”

Given that Deepika is the daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone and has played badminton in her younger days, it perfectly makes sense for the actress to do this project. Meanwhile, Sonu Sood recently mentioned that PV Sindhu’s historic win at BWF Championship will be used as the climax of her film. “Her historic win provides the perfect climax for our film. How a simple Telugu girl from Hyderabad went on to become India’s first BWF World Champion is the stuff of legends. It’s a story that stands for the new India,” he had told Times Of India.

As for Deepika, the actress returns to the big screen with Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, which releases on January 10, 2020.
