Disney Parks Reveal Name & Launch Year For New ‘Princess & the Frog’ Overhaul of Splash Mountain

It’s official – the Princess and the Frog overhaul of the Splash Mountain ride has a name and date of launch!

Disney Parks just unveiled the super exciting news about the new attraction on Friday morning (July 1) at ESSENCE Fest.

At the fest in New Orleans, Disney Imagineers discussed how the region’s culture inspired the attraction, and guests were even treated to a musical performance by voice of Mama Odie, Jenifer Lewis.

Get all the new details inside…

The official name of the new attraction will be Tiana’s Bayou Advenure, and it is set to launch in late 2024!

If you remember, just a few weeks ago, Princess Tiana herself, Anika Noni Rose, spilled the beans on when fans can expect the newly re-themed ride to open.

Charita Carter, executive producer of relevancy activations at Walt Disney Imagineering, shared, “in many ways, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a love letter to New Orleans. Like the musical city that inspired this attraction, Tiana’s second act is about a community working in harmony to achieve something extraordinary. She reminds us of an immutable truth we can all relate to: ‘if you do your best each and every day, good things are sure to come your way.’ And that’s a melody we can all sing along to!”

The Splash Mountain overhaul was first announced two years ago, and last year, we were treated to more details about the new adventure ride.

At this time, Splash Mountain at both the OG Disneyland and Walt Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom are the only parks to get the overhaul. Tokyo Disneyland also has the ride.
