The Bad Habits singer, 32, kept a low-key figure whilst heading back to his waiting car following the outing, carrying wine bags.

He sported a pair of dark-wash jeans with a simple camel T-shirt, adding a black buttoned coat over the top.

It comes just a day after the singer’s bombshell interview with Rolling Stone was released, where he shared details of his battle with drugs and disordered eating.

Laying it all bare in the emotional interview, he also explained how fatherhood helped him quit hard liquor while detailing his wife’s health.

Strolling through West London, Ed kept his head down while smiling and walking alongside a pal.

He teamed a pair of navy and cream Nike trainers with the simple look, heading into a waiting charcoal car.

Three pals appeared to have joined him for the outing, as they were clad with brown paper wine bags.

Ed is set to kick off his Divide tour this week in Manchester, before heading across the pond later this year.

And ahead of his tour and new music release, the hitmaker spoke to Rolling Stone in a tell-all interview that was released this week.

The bombshell piece delved deep into his turbulent few years and saw Ed open up about his battle with grief, alcohol, drugs and health.

In the interview, Ed shared that he has vowed never to take drugs again as it would be ‘disrespectful’ to his late pal Jamal Edwards’ memory.

Jamal, a music producer and the son of Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, tragically died after a cardiac arrest brought on by cocaine and alcohol in February 2022 at the age of 31.

And after opening up how Jamal’s death affected him and detailing the extent of his own past drug use in a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the singer told how he would ‘never touch anything again.’

He said: ‘I would never, ever, ever touch anything again, because that’s how Jamal died. And that’s just disrespectful to his memory to even, like, go near.’

In an emotional and candid chat with the magazine, Ed spoke about his drinking and drug use and how he ended up giving up both for the sake of his wife and children, Lyra, two and Jupiter, 10 months.

He explained: ‘I was always a drinker. I didn’t touch any sort of like, drug, until I was 24.

He admitted to using a ‘few’ substances but refused to name them for fear his kids would one day read it.

Ed said: ‘I remember just being at a festival and being like, “Well, if all of my friends do it, it can’t be that bad.”

‘And then sort of dabbling. And then it just turns into a habit that you do once a week and then once a day and then, like, twice a day and then, like, without booze. It just became bad vibes.’

During the interview, he also admitted to developing an eating disorder after comparing himself to ‘every other pop star’.

He claimed he began struggling with his body image after collaborating with the likes of Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber, who both have ‘fantastic figures’.

Admitting he felt ‘mad uncomfortable’ talking about his struggles in an interview with Rolling Stone, Ed explained how he began ‘gorging’ on food before vomiting it back up again.

‘Why am I so… fat?’ During the interview, he also admitted to developing an eating disorder after comparing himself to ‘every other pop star’ (pictured in 2022)

He said: ‘I’m self-conscious anyway, but you get into an industry where you’re getting compared to every other pop star. I was in the One Direction wave, and I’m like, “Well, why don’t I have a six pack?”

‘And I was like, “Oh, because you love kebabs and drink beer.” Then you do songs with Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. All these people have fantastic figures. And I was always like, “Well, why am I so … fat?”‘

He continued: ‘I have a real eating problem. I’m a real binge eater. I’m a binge-everything. But I’m now more of a binge exerciser, and a binge dad. And work, obviously.’

The Bad Habits songster compared his struggles to Elton John’s, who had written in his own autobiography, ‘I had developed bulimia.’
