Jessica Biel Appears To Lobby Alongside Prominent Anti-Vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Could Jessica Biel be against vaccinations?

The actress was all smiles in the California State House alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., chairman of the anti-vaccination group Children’s Health Defense, and Assemblywoman Autumn Burke.

Kennedy shared two posts on Tuesday to his Instagram singing his praise for the 37-year-old:

Many applauded Biel’s decision to join the “movement” (below), with very few actually mentioning vaccines:

“Jessica Biel? I’m impressed if she is with our movement!”

“Give Autumn and Jessica support on their IG accounts – maybe others will start to speak out too. There are sooo many celebs and high profile people needing a safe community to voice their opinions in.”

“Can’t the Timberlake’s just come out of the closet already and admit they are anti-vax? They’d wake up so many more parents… I mean, Hollywood would disown them but maybe after one more tour Justin? ?????”

“Bless those brave enough to be a voice for those who can not speak as loud.”

The advocacy group, which RFK Jr. is the chairman of, alleges that children with neurological disorders such as autism are exposed to the condition because of vaccines, despite vast medical evidence to the contrary.

However, others were less than impressed with Jess’ visit:

“Never understood why Jessica Biel who doesn’t vaccinate would be a Hillary supporter.. she wanted mandatory vaccines for everyone”

“She is pro-killing unborn innocent children. Not so heroic to me.”

“Vaccinate your kids.”

“Why are you giving credence to this anti-vaccine nonsense?! Shame on you!”

While there has not been any confirmation from Miz Biel on what exactly she was doing in Sacramento (other than commenting on RFK Jr.’s post “Great meeting with both of you today!”), posts from other Assembly members and Senators indicate her “opposition to #SB276.”

The proposed bill would remove the power for individual doctors to grant medical exemptions based on health concerns. Currently, California law prohibits a school or educational institution from admitting a student who does not have immunizations as laid out by the State Department of Public Health, unless they have a documented exemption.

As of now it’s unclear where her husband, Justin Timberlake, stands in the matter. However, in May 2015 a source told InTouch Weekly that the couple would not be vaccinating their son Silas Randall Timberlake:

“Jessica is refusing to vaccinate him. She feels that vaccination could cause complications. I’m sure Jessica believes that she’s making the right decision, but hopefully she and Justin will do some more research on this and change their minds.”

Maybe Jessica, Jenny McCarthy, and Kat Von D should start a club…
