Jessica Brown Findlay gives birth – Downton Abbey star welcomes twin boys and shares pic

Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay has announced that she's given birth to twin sons.

The actress, who is best known for playing Lady Sybil Crawley in the popular period drama, announced the birth on Instagram this morning, revealing that she gave birth on November 5.

Sharing a sweet snap of herself cradling her newborn sons, she wrote: "5.11.22 Our boys! Remember Remember x" She is yet to reveal the names of her sons.

Commenters were quick to congratulate the star, with one writing: "The most beautiful beautiful image, congratulations Jess." While another commented: "Congratulations !!! Enjoy the love bubble."

A third wrote: "Oh heaven! You look gorgeous Jessie. And so do they."

Jessica, 32, announced her pregnancy on the red carpet at Venice Film Festival, where she debuted her baby bump, revealing that she was expecting her first child with husband Ziggy Heath.

The happy couple married in a secret ceremony in 2020, with Jessica later announcing the nuptials on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of herself and her new husband embracing joined by a snap of her jumping on a bed while wearing a gorgeous red dress with a corset-style top.

She wrote: "[heart emoji] wins every time . A weekend of dreams. Small celebrations felt HUGE. And now what a birthday! X I love you."

Earlier this year, Jessica revealed she had undergone several rounds of IVF treatment in a bid to start a family since the couple's stunning wedding ceremony in 2020.

Taking to her Instagram, the star shared a video of herself using hormone injections with the caption: "Happy International Women’s day!"

She continued: “IVF has made me even more aware of just how much women are capable of and what we can achieve whilst going through pain and heartbreak.

“Your body is not the enemy. Love it. No matter what. Sending love and support to every woman I have ever met and all the ones I haven’t but know what this is. I thoroughly recommend doing it all in Vintage Clothing. Love. Love. Love.”

She added at the end: "#iwd2022 #ivf #fourrounds #recurrentpregnancyloss #vintage."

Her thoughtful post received more than 33,000 likes as hundreds of fans flocked to send her praises.

Taking to the comment section, other women shared that they two were going through the IVF process, with one writing: "Thank you for sharing. It's a c**p club, but full of amazing members. And I'm proud to be fighting alongside you.”

While another shared: "The IVF struggle is real! But totally worth it! Stay strong, you aren’t alone!!!!"
