Laura Whitmore has spoken out after fans thought her pal Keith Lemon let slip her and husband Iain Stirling's newborn daughter's name.

Keith, 47, who recently shared a peek inside his eccentric home with leopard print carpets and movie memorabilia, appeared on ITV's This Morning on Thursday to speak about his show Celebrity Juice when the conversation turned to his co-star Laura.

Speaking to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, viewers thought the comedian let slip the name of her newborn daughter as he said: "We've got lovely Laura Whitmore as well who's at home watching this with her child. So hello to Emily and Laura!"

Keith, whose real name is Leigh Francis, did not clarify whether he was referring to 35 year old Laura's baby girl or his other Celebrity Juice co-star Emily Atack.

Not everyone was convinced by the argument though as one person said: "Think he was more on about Emily Atack??"

Clearly understanding the confusion, Laura jumped in to shut down rumours around her daughter's name as she replied to the user: "Ha ha yes he was!" followed by a crying with laughter emoji.

The Love Island presenter, who recently shared an adorable photo with her bundle of joy for Easter, added: "Emily and I are team captains. It’s a gorgeous name but would get confusing x".

On 2 April, Laura confirmed that she and 33 year old husband Iain had welcomed their baby.

Taking to her Instagram feed, she posted a sweet snap of herself wearing a denim jacket with a peacock emblazoned on the pocket. She styled her blonde mane down, which appeared windswept, and wore a pair of dark sunglasses as she held her little girl against her chest.

Sharing a koala emoji, she wrote in the caption: "thanks for all the kind messages at this time. We are in love x". [sic]
