Love Island’s Teddy Soares breaks silence on Faye Winter split amid heartbreak

Love Island star Teddy Soares said he's "taking time" to heal after his heartbreaking split from Faye Winter.

Teddy, 28, has been open about his struggles after his breakup with Love Island girlfriend Faye, 27, was announced last month, and has recently revealed he's "taking time" to heal.

Teddy met Faye during the seventh season of the hit ITV2 in 2021 dating show and kept viewers gripped with their fiery on-off romance. Since exiting the villa, they seemed to be adjusting well to the outside world.

Unfortunately, the couple confirmed the break-up with a statement released in February after months of speculation that Teddy and Faye had parted ways.

Since then, both Teddy and Faye have shared their experiences trying to overcome the breakup on their social media, with Teddy recently posting a series of pics of himself enjoying some time in London.

He posed from a bar in London and wrote: "Taking time but we're getting there."

His comment section was soon filed with people wishing the reality star the best, and urged him to take the time he needed. But some couldn't help to express their hope that the former couple might get back together again.

One supportive follower commented and said: "You have to work at relationships you are both obviously missing each other coming from someone who has been married for 42yrs. If you love each other you can work it out and take no notice of what others say!"

A second agreed and said: "They still so broken-hearted, oh I hope they make their way back to each other. Its obvious from both of them, they still love each other"

"Go with your heart. Don’t worry about what others say. You have too do what’s best for you," a third person penned.

A fourth person added: "Take your time and be kind to yourself. You will be fine. Big hugs x"

Faye recently revealed exclusively to OK! that she was unable to get out of bed following the breakup with Teddy, but went on to say that her beloved golden retriever pup Bonnie helped pull her through her lowest moments, giving her a "purpose" when she’s been feeling flat.

"I would not have gotten through half the stuff I have recently if it wasn’t for her," she confesses. "She is my alarm clock in the morning, she gets me up every day and she’s my reason for being.

"The amount of times where I’ve not wanted to get out of bed because I’m in such a low place, but now I don’t have that. I have to get up to feed and walk her every day."

"I’ve had so much going on and I’ve got a lot of work-related things to look forward to, so I’m just focusing on these things, really," she continued. "I hope Teddy is focusing on his growth."
