Love Island’s Wes Nelson rushed to hospital after ‘losing vision’

Wes Nelson, who appeared in Love Island in 2018 and has gone on to participate in a string of reality shows since, documented his terrifying health ordeal on Instagram today.

The star, who boasts 1.4 million followers, revealed: “So yesterday I started to randomly lose vision/consciousness in my house!

“Managed to get to my neighbours who took care of me and took me to hospital in the ambulance.”

He continued that fortunately he now has the all-clear, although he vowed not to “go into detail”.

“We did a bunch of tests throughout the day and they’ve told me I’m all good now. I feel LOADS better today,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Wes also assured fans that he’d been given the green light to return to his touring schedule.

The star has now launched a successful career as a recording artist and has reportedly made millions from his music.

He shared with fans that he is looking forward to seeing them during his tour in Glasgow tomorrow via his Instagram Stories.

The accompanying photo featured him lying on a bed with a hospital tag bracelet tied to his wrist, but he insisted that he has now made a return to good health.

Just prior to his health scare, he had released the new single ‘Forever’, which hit streaming networks a day before the King’s Coronation.

He posted video footage of himself miming along to the song lyrics at what appeared to be his home studio previously.

Wes, who has had relationships with Megan Barton-Hanson and Arabella Chi since leaving the villa, has insisted that romping on Love Island didn’t harm his career or reputation.

“I did it and I was fine,” he told FUBAR’s Stephen Leng on the Access All Areas show, adding: “There are no dos or don’ts. Just do you.”

Since his debut on the show, which saw him flaunt a very muscular torso, he has also appeared in other reality shows including Dancing On Ice, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, The Games – which he won – and The X Factor.

Wes signed a solo deal with EMI Records in 2020 and his career has taken him from strength to strength ever since, with fans hoping his recent health scare is a mere blip on his landscape of success.
