Michael B. Jordan Will Be a Producer on ‘Statick Shock’ Movie for DC!

Michael B. Jordan has joined the producing team of the upcoming DC Comics movie Static Shock!

The 33-year-old actor, who is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his work as Erik Killmonger in Black Panther, does not appear to be attached to star in the film.

Static Shock follows “Virgil Hawkins, a teenager who transforms into a superhero who gains electromagnetic powers after being exposed to strange gas,” according to THR.

Michael will produce the project via Outlier Society, his production company at Warner Bros. He joins Reginald Hudlin on the producing team.

In a statement, Michael said, “I’m proud to be a part of building a new universe centered around black superheroes; our community deserves that. Outlier Society is committed to bringing to life diverse comic book content across all platforms and we are excited to partner with Reggie and Warner Bros on this initial step.”

Reginald is currently writing a new Static Shock digital comic series and a graphic novel.
