Motörhead Announce Deluxe Reissues Of ‘Overkill’ And ‘Bomber’

Motörhead has announced plans to re-release its 1979 albums Overkill and Bomber featuring bonus live material and more.

The new deluxe editions of both Overkill and Bomber will be reissued as hardbound bookpacks in two CD and triple LP format.

The sets will feature previously unheard concerts from the ’79 tours, interviews and many unseen photos. Both albums have been remastered from the original master tapes.

Overkill and Bomber deluxe editions will also feature a 40-page book, a disc containing b-sides and outtakes, a 7-inch single of No Class, a reproduction of the Bomber tour program, an Overkill sheet music book and a 1979 badge set. The deluxe editions will be presented in a black biker jacket box.

The albums will be released on October 25 via BMG. The reissue has been created with the full cooperation and involvement of the estates of Lemmy, “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor.

“After several years of planning, Motorhead and BMG are delighted to announce the start of an exciting, extensive and detailed ultra-fan-friendly release program spanning the band’s career from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and beyond,” the label said in a statement.
