Neil Jones, 38, has recently returned to viewers’ screens for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing. The ballroom dancer has been a part of the cast of professional dancers since he joined the BBC show in 2016.

Last year, he was given his first celebrity dance partner as he coupled up with former footballer and presenter, Alex Scott, 36.

The pair had their fair share of issues part way through the programme after Neil sustained an injury, which meant he had to be replaced for a number of weeks.

The trained dancer is no longer part of this year’s main Strictly line-up, instead only featuring in group dances or as a support act.

The dancer is now offering fans a chance to take part in a 45-minute urban ballroom class.

Neil’s fee of £15 includes an online tutorial and a recording to help customers practise.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the Strictly pro advertised his dance classes in view of his 229,000 followers.

His site states: “UrbanBallroom is not just for young dancers, it’s for all ages and all levels, even complete beginners.”

Neil had set up his dance classes back in 2016 and will continue to teach lessons online during the current lockdown.

The Strictly professional recently addressed not being placed with a celebrity partner.

Speaking on the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, he told host Zoe Ball that it “doesn’t matter”.

Asking how Neil was feeling about being snubbed from the competitive line-up, the presenter said it was “their loss and our gain,” that he had a new role on the companion programs.

Sharing his take on not competing, the trained dancer said: “We don’t all have partners but it doesn’t matter.”

“Strictly is still happening and that’s all we care about,” he added and viewers shared their optimism over Neil’s new role.

Fans took to Twitter and shared their thoughts on the dancer not being a part of the main line-up.

One person commented: “Neil is brilliant in the choreography corner. Can he be back every week?”

“Criminal Neil Jones hasn’t got a ‘celeb’ partner,” another person hit back.

While a third person added: “Flipping love Neil Jones! I really hope he gets a partner next year. He is too good to just be in the group.”

Amid the current coronavirus pandemic, the Strictly professionals and their dance partners are having to remain in a bubble as a result of social distancing measures in a bid to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Neil has formed a close contact cohort bubble with co-star Nancy Xu, 29, so he can still perform in some capacity.

Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
