Piers Morgan doubles down on takedown of Princess Diana statue

Piers Morgan has doubled down on his criticism of the newly unveiled Princess Diana statue, refusing to delete his tweet about it.

The former Good Morning Britain host wasn’t impressed by the statue, which was unveiled for what would have been the late royal’s 60th birthday, simply dubbing it, ‘not great’.

Davina McCall agreed with him, responding: ‘I really wanted to like it. But somehow… it doesn’t feel very Diana? Her joie de vivre… her radiance, her compassion. It feels stiff.’

‘The statue’s the one thing Diana never was: dull,’ Piers added.

The Masked Singer panellist since appears to have deleted her tweet about the statue.

Responding to an article about Davina, Piers claimed she had been ‘bullied & abused by the woke #BeKind brigade into deleting an honestly-held and entirely accurate opinion.’
