Piers Morgan hits gym to get fighting fit following ‘death threats’ from trolls

Piers Morgan has revealed he is hitting the gym with a former Olympian as his personal trainer who he vows will ‘never break’ him.

The broadcaster, 55, shared a sweaty photo of himself tacking some dumbbell exercises, as he told his followers: ‘Back in the game. ps You’ll never break me @roarfitnessgirl’.

His trainer, Sarah Lindsay, who is a former three-time Olympian and speed skater, replied: ‘And vice versa @piersmorgan #clashofthetitons’.

Piers’s new workout regime comes after he revealed he was getting death threats from ‘Covidiot’ trolls after he called for a second national lockdown in the UK.

Following the huge rise in coronavirus cases, Piers said on Twitter: ‘Britain needs to lockdown – nationally, and immediately. And Britain also needs to ensure non-covid patients get treated & businesses don’t go bust.

‘This is on you @BorisJohnson – you’re supposed to be leader of this country, so LEAD.’

He later added: ‘Can all Covidiots please just unfollow me and f**k off. This 2nd wave is extremely serious & I’m not interested in your insane conspiracy theories, your dumb fake charts, your ‘proof’ that covid’s ‘not as bad as the flu’ – or any of your ignorant abusive garbage.

‘Our health & care workers are facing another incredibly tough, challenging & dangerous few months. I wish them all the very best of luck & thank each and every one for their heroic service.

‘UPDATE: Covidiots are still following me, & still spewing their conspiracy c**p and abuse. So sadly, I now have to move to full (permanent) lockdown & block them all.’

He later retweeted a now-deleted comment and added: ‘Aww, now the death threats.’

The Good Morning Britain presenter has been vocal about the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic since the start, which appears to have divided his fanbase somewhat.
