Piers Morgan slams traffic wardens for continuing to fine emergency workers

Piers Morgan has slammed traffic wardens who are continuing to fine emergency health workers helping to save lives during the coronavirus pandemic.

After demanding for free parking for NHS workers on today’s episode of Good Morning Britain, the presenter was enraged to see that Westminster council had handed one key worker a ticket – they’ve since rectified the situation.

After a woman on the NHS front line shared a photo of her parking fine, Piers raged: ‘If you’re a traffic warden putting tickets on emergency health workers’ cars as they fight to save people from #Coronavirus… get a f*cking life, you imbeciles.’

In another post shared on his Twitter profile, Piers offered to cover the charge.

‘Disgusting. Send me the tickets Debbie & I will pay them,’ he wrote.

Piers’ gesture comes after he vowed to help pay the parking fines handed to NHS workers.

‘I will say now, to any health worker during the future of this crisis, how ever long it lasts, if any of you get a parking ticket, at a hospital where you’re working, I will pay it for you.,’ he said.

‘I will pay it, and I will then go to the government, and have the battle, and you don’t get involved.’

‘Send it in to Good Morning Britain, and I will pay it the parking ticket. If that’s what it takes,’ he added.

While you don’t have to like Piers, we think he’s absolutely spot on about this pandemic.

Piers has been extremely vocal as the Covid-19 crisis continues to play out across the world, holding the government to account and giving a voice to those in need.

Last week, he blasted Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s vague lockdown laws and now he’s being tipped to become the country’s next leader.
