Rihanna delivers jaw-dropping Oscars performance as A$AP Rocky cheers on

Rihanna delivered a beautiful performance of her hit track Lift Me Up at Sunday night’s Oscars and the mum-to-be was undeniably glowing as she took to the stage.

Rihanna, 35, was one of the last celebrities to turn up to the Oscars’ champagne carpet and rocked up in a stunning black gown with cutout detailing showcasing her blossoming bump.

The singer is currently expecting her second child with beau A$AP Rocky.

The pregnant star later took to the Academy Awards stage to perform her nominated track, from Marvel movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Rihanna dazzled in embellished black trousers and a balconette babydoll top to match.

To complete the look, the 35 year old sported a pair of arm-length black gloves and statement silver jewellery as she wore her dark tresses down and straight.

Following her stunning performance, Rihanna received a standing ovation from the audience – with doting beau A$AP, real name Rakin Mayers, shown cheering her on and raising a glass.

Many noticed his sweet gesture and took to Twitter to comment on it.

“A$AP Rocky in the audience supporting Rihanna,” one person wrote alongside a clip of the rapper.

“Get you a man that looks at you like asap rocky looks at Rihanna,” added another.

A third added: “Rihanna’s presence + the orchestra + ASAP Rocky toasting to Rihanna = soul blessed”.

Gushing about her performance in general, another penned: “Rihanna giving us another great but different performance literally just a month after the superbowl."

“Rihanna at the Oscars,” began another. “this was definitely the highlight of the show."

While Rihanna’s track was nominated for an Oscar, the hitmaker lost out to Naatu Naatu from the Bollywood movie RRR.

Lady Gaga was also up for the award for her Top Gun: Maverick song, Hold My Hand.

Rihanna’s two glam ensembles were worlds away from the attire she was seen sporting earlier on in the day.

The pregnant star was seen walking into Los Angeles's Dolby Theatre in a grey Eagles T-shirt, Black Vans sneakers, an olive green bucket hat, a matching tote bag, sunglasses, and giant gold hoop earrings with a matching chain bracelet.

Sunday’s performance came exactly one month after Rihanna’s showstopping Super Bowl Halftime show, where she announced her surprise pregnancy.

The news of her second child comes less than a year after she gave birth to her first – a little boy.
