Salman Khan will be BANNED if he works with Mika Singh, says an FWICE member | Bollywood Life

Despite being aware of the growing tension between India and Pakistan, singer Mika Singh performed in Karachi, last week. Following which, the Mauja Hi Mauja singer was banned by the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). Mika hurt the sentiments of the entire nation as he performed at the wedding festivities of former Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf’s daughter’s billionaire cousin. Although Mika Singh has realised his mistake and wants to issue an apology to everyone across the nation, the committees are adamant on their decision.

Ever since a ban has been levied on Mika Singh, a lot of industry people are avoiding any form of association with the singer. And same is the case with Salman Khan. For the ones unaware, Salman along with Mika is doing a gig across cities in the United States. The tour has been named Up, Close and Personal With Salman Khan. It is organised by Sohail Khan’s event management company with Jordy Patel of JA Events in India and Bhavesh Patel in the US. Mika is supposed to be a part of the Houston show on August 28.

When Mid-Day got in touch with Jordy Patel to know about Mika’s involvement in the show, he said, “We are only dealing with Bhavesh Patel as our contract is with him. Some local promoter in the US must have signed on Mika and added him to the line-up. Salman will have nothing to do with Mika at the event. They will not even interact on stage.”

Meanwhile, the general secretary of FWICE, Ashok Dubey, maintained that if anyone from the industry works with Mika Singh, he/she will be banned too. “If we impose a ban, it means all our technicians — including actors, directors, and even spot boys — will not work with Mika. If someone works with Mika during this ban, say Salman or anyone else, then he too will be banned. Whether it’s an organiser from the US or any other country, we cannot stop anybody from conducting an event. Our policy is simple, we will not work with the person who has been banned,” he was quoted as saying by the leading tabloid.
