Sheridan Smith, 40, has sparked rumours she has rekindled her relationship with ex-boyfriend Alex Lawler. The Gavin & Stacey star could be seen cosying up to her former flame and grabbing his face in a new Instagram post shared on Sunday.
She captioned the snap: “Life begins at 40. 40\40,” along with a heart emoji.
But what really got her followers’ attention was the ring on her wedding finger.
emmajanelymer enquired: “Engagement???”
gemgems1978 penned: “Congratulations you little beauty,” along with a ring and a heart emoji.
beki26 added: “So happy for you. Is that an engagement ring?”
Some of Sheridan’s fans also took to her post to show her their support and give her relationship advice.

“Life and love really does begin at 40!”
sparklesbespokeresins said: “Life is to short not to be happy.

“Sometimes it just takes 40 years to figure things out.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Sheridan Smith’s representatives for comment.
Sheridan recently confirmed her split from her fiancé and the father of her child, Jamie Horn, 31.
In a statement shared with The Sun earlier this year, the actress said it was with “great sadness” they had called time on their three-year relationship.
She said: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.
“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together.
“We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Sheridan and former insurance broker Jamie had met on the popular dating app, Tinder.
