Simon Cowell was pictured leaving London’s Hammersmith Apollo after Britain’s Got Talent live show alongside his partner Lauren Silverman on Tuesday evening.

The head judge, 59, appeared in great spirits as he made a cheery departure from the venue while flashing an incredibly bright smile with his girlfriend Lauren, 41.

Music mogul Simon’s outing comes as he claimed homework should be banned and revealed he wants his son Eric, five, to leave school at the age of tender age of 10 so he can work for his business empire.

Opting for his signature dapper appearance, the X Factor star sported his trademark white shirt and navy trousers.

Ensuring she didn’t let her man down in the style stakes, Lauren looked sensational in a sparkling silver jumper and a pair of form-fitting PVC leggings.

In his true controversial fashion, Simon recently revealed he would want his only child Eric to leave school prematurely at the age of 10, despite England’s school leaving age of 16.

During a recent interview with NBC, the TV personality explained: ‘Listen if I can get him out at 10 to come and work for me then I would.’

Simon went on to reason that he turned out to be successful after leaving school at 16.

The music executive attended Radlett Preparatory School, the independent Dover College, and Windsor Technical College, where he gained GCE O Levels in English Language and Literature, and Sociology.

‘I was better off out of school than I was in’, Simon insisted. ‘But I didn’t have that major stress about homework, because I would just throw it away. A healthy, happy kid is more important than an over-educated, stressed kid.’

This is not the first time he’s spoken about his son leaving education early, as he previously claimed he would ‘100 per cent encourage him’ to finish school at the age of 16.

Calling it a night: Singer Faith Tucker (L) and Terri Seymour (R) were seen exiting the event

During an interview with BBC Radio 2 back in November 2016, the Lambeth native explained: ‘I don’t understand why you would want to torture someone to be somewhere they don’t want to be but actually want to go out into the real world and make a living.

‘Everyone has different views on this and I have been criticised for saying this in the past but I really feel bad for people who are like myself who were told if you don’t achieve this by the age of 16, 18, 21 your life is going to be a failure.

‘I just don’t agree with that and I would just say to Eric: “This is what it is, you’ve got to do it, learn whatever you possibly can, do as you’re told and then if you want to leave at 16 you can come and work with me”.’

His comments were previously criticsed by former Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove, who told MailOnline the media tycoon should promote hard work at school ‘not rubbish it’.

Royalty: Gerry Connolly who plays comedy act The Queen, carried his props home

There she goes: Singer Giorgia Borg was also seen making her way home

The politician said: ‘Teachers strive every day to ensure children understand the importance of learning, hard work and discipline. Simon Cowell’s comments undermine their efforts.’

Meanwhile, Simon has been inspired to change his lifestyle and adopt veganism after he was hospitalised in October 2017 for fainting while going down the stairs as a result of low blood pressure.

Speaking last month about his new diet, Simon told Extra: ‘I went to see this guy who’s very well-known. And he said to me, after doing some blood work, “You can’t have red meat, dairy, sugar, bread or gluten.”‘

But the X Factor boss added that his first thought following the advice was ‘What about alcohol?’.

Laughing, Simon said: ‘And he said, “Maybe not quite as much as you had before.” And I did it and I stuck to it and it’s easy.’

The talent show judge confessed he was following his five-year-old son Eric’s diet, explaining: ‘Apart from ice cream, he actually likes water, and eats all his raw vegetable. I’m on the Eric Cowell diet.’

A source recently told the Daily Mirror the music mogul has ‘lost half a stone’ thanks to his new healthy lifestyle and has had ‘a real spring in his step’.

The insider claimed that Simon first began the diet overhaul after he visited the doctors, where they explained that he was feeling tired due to an intolerance of certain foods.
