The Chase viewers are all saying the same thing as one contestant reveals his VERY strange career choice

Viewers of The Chase were left baffled following Friday’s show, as a contestant revealed his strange career choice.

The ITV gameshow, fronted by Bradley Walsh, welcomed players Rebecca, Lee and Lana and Bill as they hoped to beat the chaser and walk home with some money.

But keen viewers were perplexed by Bill after he declared that he was a ‘retired people person’ in his introduction.

Fans immediately took to Twitter to try and figure out what that meant with some left completely confused.

One person wrote: ‘What the actual f**k is a retired people person ? F**k the f**k off’

What? Viewers of The Chase were left baffled this week as one contestant named Bill revealed his strange career on the ITV show

Odd: The ITV gameshow, fronted by Bradley Walsh, welcomed players Rebecca, Lee and Lana and Bill as they hoped to beat the chaser and walk home with some money

Another quipped: ‘Does that mean people used to like him, but now they don’t?’

Someone else said: ‘Have I missed something what’s with the retired people person.’ While a fourth wrote: ‘WTF is a retired people person ?’

Host Bradley later asked Bill to explain his profession however it someone made things even more confusing as he explained he worked for a ‘key cutting firm’.

‘That has made ‘retired people person’ less clear. Did he cut keys? Did he just greet customers? What?!’: one fan asked.

Later Bill was sadly unable to get past Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan and was sent home.

Shortly after, Lana and Rebecca lost out in their head-to-heads which left Lee taking on Jenny in the final chase.

Lee answered 11 questions correctly but was caught with 28 seconds remaining and sent home.

It comes after The Chase fans were also left distracted last week as they spotted a royal connection between the four contestants.

Strange: Fans immediately took to Twitter to try and figure out what that meant with some left completely confused

Can you see it? It comes after viewers distracted earlier this week as they spotted a royal connection between the four contestants

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: ‘Royal event today,’ while another agreed: ‘Can’t get over this lineup on #thechase very 16th century’

Players Henry, Liz, Tudor, and Mary hoped to beat the chaser and walk home with some money.

However viewers noticed a funny connection between the players’ names and the British Royal Family.

Host Bradley appeared to not notice the very regal quartet of names, with each the name of a former monarch.

Taking to Twitter to point out the link, one viewer wrote: ‘So #TheChase tonight on #ITV are having a laugh. Spot the connection in the names!’

From Henry VII to Mary I and Elizabeth II, each name has a very strong royal connection – with fans convinced that producers put them together on purpose.

While the team had a strong set of names, their day jobs aren’t quite as regal as the monarchy.

Mary is a 49-year-old Children’s Nurse from Wigan, Henry, 70, a retired insurance adjuster from Essex, 28-year-old Liz, an operations coordinater from Stockport and Tudor, 57, a data migration specialist from Kent.

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: ‘Royal event today,’ while another agreed: ‘Can’t get over this lineup on #thechase very 16th century’.

Pointing out Bradley’s lack of notice, a third tweeted: ‘Brad never noticed the names connection?’

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
