This is Susan Boyle’s biggest regret in life

Susan Boyle dreamed a dream and it came true to the tune of millions of dollars and unlikely worldwide fame, but the Scottish native is far from your typical reality star, celebrity, or even popular singer. For those wondering why we don’t really hear from Boyle anymore, rest assured she’s still living in the same house she grew up in, where she’s battled more than a few personal losses, but continues to look on the bright side of life and focuses on what’s truly important: her music and her own happiness.

Boyle may have gotten everything she ever wanted out of life (including breaking several Guinness World Records), but she admits there’s one thing missing. And, as she gets older and the prospects dwindle, Boyle wonders whether she might have missed her chance entirely. It’s not a professional goal to achieve, or even something she can buy either. Still, in her inimitable way, the Scottish singer remains optimistic about her chances. To be fair, she’s got reason to believe in the impossible.

Susan Boyle says there's just one thing missing from her life

The terminally single Boyle, who admitted to being unlucky in love during her iconic Britain’s Got Talent audition, actually had a boyfriend whom she sadly split from towards the end of last year. The singer envisioned starting a family with this mystery man but, in the absence of any suitable suitors, told the Scottish Sun she’s now prepared to go it alone in order to make her dreams a reality. “I’ve a lovely house, why not share it?” she reasoned.

Boyle admitted, “I love children. I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret,” but the singer understands carrying them is no longer an option. According to the Scottish Mail, via the Daily Mail, she would love to provide a life she didn’t have herself growing up. “I have so much love to give. I want to adopt a child who doesn’t have much, who I can really give something to. It’s a way of giving back for me,” the Scot gushed. She did consider fostering too, but Boyle admitted she couldn’t cope with having to give the child up again after bonding with them.

A source told The Sun last summer that Boyle was already in the process of seeing what her options are, noting her lifelong love of children and how, “She is already quietly and behind the scenes active in helping charities that benefit children.”
