WTF Wednesday: Dear Shefali Bagga, win tasks, not trolls! | Bollywood Life

Chaos is already the order in Bigg Boss 13. Salman Khan’s show which has been aptly described as ‘voyeuristic’ has been grabbing all the headlines with new contestants who are in it to win the ‘tedha’ season. Needless to say, most of those headlines broke news about the many fights that ensued from the very first introductory episode. While that was that, the one spat the garnered a lot of highbrows was when Shefali Bagga put winning a task (she didn’t win it technically) above basic human instincts. If you need a little reminder, Shefali who is a journalist by profession, was cringe-worthy in the hospital task. Shefali Bagga and Shehnaaz Gill had to make Rashami Desai and Arti Singh get out of the operation theatre by their words. And honestly, it was all fine till they were shouting at the top of their voices. It didn’t make us do anything but cover our ears for respite. However, things turned awry when Shefali didn’t flinch before making personal comments about Arti and her past relationship. She even went on to cook-up stories about her apparent failed marriage with a certain ex-boyfriend. Like that was not enough, she bodyshamed Rashami and tried to make her self-conscious about her looks. Sorry but we need to check, is this 2019?

Even if one is to consider the realm that the show falls in; reality TV and over the top melodrama are two different things the last time we checked. Not to mention, we live in the age of Internet, social media and trolling. The last thing Shefali (or anyone for that matter) wants is a bunch of trolls coming after. Or a bunch of trolls thinking she did the right thing and attacking people who called out her problematic behaviour. Either way, Shefali should focus more on winning tasks in the Bigg Boss house with fair means and not trolls for either of the purposes mentioned above.

Yeah, whoever said that everything is fair in love and war, didn’t know a thing about winning!
