X Factor: Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger will return as judges with TOWIE’s Yazmin Oukhellou to ITV show

Veteran judge Louis Walsh was unceremoniously axed from The X Factor, but the silver fox is set for a grand return.

Louis, 66, is set be welcomed back to the popular show alongside another former judge, Nicole Scherzinger. Both Walsh and Scherzy have been fired from the X Factor twice in the past, but Simon Cowell is keen to get them back on board.

According to reports in The Sun, the judging panel will be cut down from four people to three.

Another change to the next series is that it will be celebrities stepping on to the stage to perform.

Those in talks to compete on the show include Gemma Collins, Amanda Holden, Caroline Flack, Yazmin Oukhellou and John Barrowman.

Former judges Sharon Osbourne, Cheryl and Dannii Minogue were considered for the show but Simon is said to have preferred old friend Louis and Nicole.

Sources close to the show told OK! online about TOWIE star Yaz and her potential involvement.

They said: “Not a lot of people know that Yaz can sing really well.
