Another blow to Telangana Congress, An important leader to join BJP

The condition of Congress in Telangana is not good. Recently Congress high command provided long-awaited approval for the committees for the running of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. AICC approved the constitution of the executive and political affairs committees besides giving the nod for the appointment of 26 district Congress committee presidents, 24 vice-presidents and 84 general secretaries.  The Congress leaders are openly criticizing that the committees were formed without their knowledge. As they are not getting priority in the party, many key leaders have already quit and joined other parties. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and former minister Marrisasidhar Reddy, who were important people   in Telangana Congress, quit the party.  Now the reports are coming that another young leader of the Congress party is all set to leave the party.

After the death of PJR, Vishnuvardhan Reddy represented Khairatabad constituency twice as an MLA on behalf of the Congress. He contested from Jubilee Hills constituency in the last election and was defeated. His sister Vijaya Reddy is currently the corporator of Khairatabad. She recently quit TRS and rejoined Congress. With this, political circles are discussing that there are possibilities of her being fielded as  the Congress candidate from Khairatabad constituency. But Vishnuvardhan Reddy has not yet decided from where he will contest. However, he did not get a place in the recently announced TPCC committees. He seems to be very unhappy with this. He has been staying away from  the party activities for the past few days.

Meanwhile, Vishnuvardhan Reddy made key comments in an interview given to a TV channel recently. Responding to not getting a place in the TCPC committees, he said that those who came from the bicycle party and who had not even climbed the steps of Gandhi Bhavan were given a place in the committee. He said that even those who have no knowledge about the party are getting positions. Every time he wanted to change the party, he was stopped by the Congress leaders.

Political analysts believe that Vishnuvardhan Reddy will say goodbye to the Congress party and join BJP after 28th December.
