‘BJP bachelors can now marry fair Kashmiri girls’

BJP is celebrating scrapping off the ‘Article 370’ on Jammu & Kashmir. At one of the celebrations event, a lawmaker of BJP has made comments on Kashmiri girls which sparked a controversy. He is Vikram Singh Saini, MLA from Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar.

Vikram Singh said, “Those who are bachelors can now get married there to fair Kashmiri girls. There is no issue with citizenship also now. Everyone should celebrate this be it a Muslim or Hindu.” As comments invoked mixed reactions, Vikram Singh went on to defend his statements. “Marrying a Kashmiri girl will not be a issue now. That’s all I said and it is a fact now. There is absolutely nothing wrong in it,” added Vikram Singh.

The MLA further said PM Modi has fulfilled the dream and he is planning to buy a house in Kashmir. “Everything about Kashmir is beautiful. So I’m in touch with people I know to buy a house,” quipped the Khatauli MLA.

This is not for the first time Vikram Singh has made controversial comments. Earlier in January, he said people who are feeling unsafe in the country, should be killed. Even during then Vikram has defended his comments and went on to say that if gets ministry, he would certainly do that.
