Ex-Union minister Jaswant Singh passes away

Ex-Union minister Jaswant Singh, who was from Rajasthan, passed away today morning following a long spell of illness. He  was 82. Jaswant Singh had been in Coma for the past 6  years. In  the year 2014, Mr Singh was admitted to the Army Hospital in Delhi subsequent to a major head injury at his residence.

Mr Jaswant Singh was an officer in the Indian Army in 1950s and 60s, but later  he resigned to pursue a career in political field. Jaswant had served as  defense minister, foreign minister and finance minister of India.

He The hospital released a statement and said, “Former Union minister Jaswant Singh died today at 6:55 AM at Delhi’s Army Hospital where he was admitted in the month of June and was being treated for Sepsis with  the Multi  organ Dysfunction Syndrome and the  effects of Severe Head Injury old had a Cardiac arrest toady morning i.e 27th September. Despite the best efforts of team of specialists to resuscitate Ex-Union minister Jaswant Singh , he could not be revived and passed away on 27th Sep 2020. His Coronavirus status is negative.”

Prime minister Narendra Modi, Defence minister Rajnath Singh, President Sharad Pawar and other officials shared about Jaswant Singh’ greatness post his demise.
