Experienced, new faces in the list of probables

New Cabinet to be announced on June 8

Experienced leaders and quite a few new faces figure in the list of probables for the new Cabinet to be announced on June 8.

Several leaders, thought to be indispensable to the party, may miss the bus.

Caste, region, and experience seem to be the criteria adopted for shortlisting the probables, and utmost importance is likely to be given to proper representation of districts. With the party announcing that it would convert every parliamentary constituency into a district, it is likely to have 25 Ministers, one for each district of the future.

While some districts have four probables, others have just two. East Godavari, Guntur and Visakhapatnam districts, which are large, have four probables.

Former Minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Kanna Babu, Dasisetty Raja and P. Viswaroop have been shortlisted from East Godavari.

Senior party leader Ambati Rambabu, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and M. Sucharitha are the probables from Guntur district.

The candidates shortlisted from Visakhapatnam are Avanthi Srinivas, T. Nagi Reddy, B. Mutyala Naidu and Golla Babu Rao.

From Srikakulam, one of the Dharmana brothers, either Prasada Rao or Krishna Das, are likely to be taken into the Cabinet. The other two could be Thammineni Seetharam and V. Kalavathi.

Senior party leader and former Minister Botcha Satyanaryana, Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swami and Peedika Rajanna Dora are in the race from Vizianagaram.

From West Godavari, Prasad Raju, Alla Nani and T. Balaraju figure prominently.

In the Krishna list, there are party heavyweights K. Parthasarathi, Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) and Samineni Udaya Bhanu.

New faces M. Sankar Narayana, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy and Anantha Venkatarami Reddy appear in the Anantapur list.

Nellore will also have a new face Mekapati Gowtham Reddy and seniors Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and former MP V. Varaprasada Rao.

In Kadapa

As for Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s native district Kadapa, the lucky ones could be fresh entrants Amzath Basha and K. Srinivasulu. The choice for Chittoor district, quite surprisingly is P. Ramachandra Reddy and K. Narayana Swamy.

Former Public Accounts Commission (PAC) chairman Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Silpa Chakrapani Reddy are the two probables from Kurnool.

Second time MLA Adimulapu Suresh and Balineni Srinivasa Reddy have been shortlisted from Prakasam district.
