KCR blaming Centre for his failures, alleges Congress

Use Ayushman Bharat funds for Aarogyasri: Jeevan Reddy

Senior leader of Congress party and MLC T. Jeevan Reddy has dubbed the budget as reflection of TRS government’s failures. Instead of owning up the responsibility, the Chief Minister is trying to blame the Centre for his government’s failures, he said.

Speaking at the media point in the Assembly, he pointed that the government had failed to give clarity on the implementation of crop loan waiver, employment generation and unemployment allowance. He suggested the government to take the funds from Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Centre to implement Aarogyasri properly.

He alleged that the State government is not asking national project status to Kaleshwaram with the fear of getting exposed on corruption in its execution.

Legislators of TRS Nomula Narsimhaiah and Karne Prabhakar said the State government had allotted ample funds for welfare irrespective of Centre’s non-cooperation and in spite of slowdown in the economy. They also hailed allocations for irrigation and agriculture sectors.

Terming the budget as a disappointment, BJP legislator N. Ramchander Rao said the State government had tried to blame the Centre for its failures. Unable to complete projects and programmes taken up by it, the government is faulting the Centre to escape responsibility, he noted. Independent legislator Narsi Reddy criticised the government for not having even a mention of interim relief and pay revision commission in the budget estimates. He remarked that the government had failed to assess the economic situation while preparing the budget.

State secretary of CPI Chada Venkat Reddy said the government has failed miserably in preparing a practical budget as there was no comparison between the vote on account presented in March and the budget presented now. He pointed out that there was no mention of any of the poll promises made by TRS in the budget.
