Rajinikanth party announcement live update: Never aspired to become CM

The actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth conducted a meeting with district secretaries of the Rajini Makkal Mandram in Chennai to discuss the launch of his party. He had said he was disappointed over a particular issue that was discussed during the meeting but refused to divulge details about the same. Rajinikanth has convened another meeting with his office-bearers on Thursday, sparking speculation that he would announce launching his political outfit during the meeting.

During his previous interaction with RMM office bearers on 5th March, Rajinikanth said no to the CM post. Rajinikanth is expected to draw the district secretaries into a discussion on projecting someone else as the CM candidate. Rajinikanth addresses a press conference at Chennai’s Leela Palace hotel, and said, “I want to bring a change in Tamil Nadu politics. I will give a chance to young people with a good reputation in my party to serve the public. I will have limited leaders working with me.”

Darbar star Rajinikanth said, “My party election candidates 60 to 65% will be under below 50 years of age. 35 to 40% will be given to other good people who come from other parties and intellectuals, Rted IAS officers, Judges, Women, etc.” Rajinikanth further added, “There will be a separate leader for the Party and a separate leader for the Government.”

Rajinikanth further said, “I can’t see myself as CM.”
