Tamannah Bhatia to play Jamuna?

According to the latest buzz in the film industry, milky beauty Tamannah Bhatia  is approached to play the role of yesteryear actress Jamuna on the screen who ruled the roost in 1950s and 1960s.

Jamuna made her acting debut in Dr Garikapati Rajarao’ directorial venture Puttillu  which was released in 1953 and received her breakthrough with LV Prasad’ film Missamma. When the legendary actress Savitri was performing in Duggirala, she stayed in Jamuna’ house. Later,  the actress Savitri invited Jamuna to act in  the movies and  she entered as heroine in movies  when she was just 14 years old.   Actress Jamuna joined  the Congress party in 1980s and she was elected to Lok Sabha from Rajahmundry constituency in  the year 1989. She then retired from  the politics but briefly campaigned for the Bharitya Janatha Party in 1990s.

The reports are coming that  a popular Telugu filmmaker has initiated talks with  the yesteryear actress Jamuna to get her green light on the biopic. Milky Siren Tamannah  Bhatia has been approached to play the titular character, and if everything goes as per plan,  the official announcement regarding Jamuna biopic and inclusion of Baahubali girl will be made soon.

It is being heard  that Sivanagu of Devineni fame will direct the biopic.
