Thalaivi new Still: Jayalalithaa and MGR lost in each other eyes

Today morning the National award winning actress Kangana Ranaut shared a still from her upcoming much hyped multilingual drama  Thalaivi  in which she is playing the titular role as Jayalalithaa. The film also has Druva fame  Arvind Swami  who is playing the role of  MG Ramachandran – fondly called  MGR.  The new still is released  on the  occasion of AIADMK founder-actor’s 104th birth anniversary.

In the still, Kangana Ranaut  and Arvind as Jayalalithaa and MGR are seen lost in each other’s eyes during  the shoot of a film.

Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi is directed by AL Vijay and bankrolled by Vibri Media in association with Karma Media And Entertainment. It is based on the life of  former Tamil Nadu chief minister and actress Jayalalithaa and chronicles her journey from her time in the movies to becoming a political leader. Arvind Swami  will be seen as MGR, who was a mentor figure to Jayalalithaa. popularly known as Puratchi Thalaivar and Makkal Thilagam, MG Ramachandran played a very important role in the life and career of Jayalalithaa.

Apart from Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami  , the film Thalaivi also has  Prakash Raj, Bhagyashree and Jisshu Sengupta in  the crucial roles and it  has music by GV Prakash Kumar whereas Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame writer Vijayendra Prasad penned the script of this film, which  is being simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
