Social media users have been debating on nepotism for the past few months and star kids are at the receiving end of the same. The audience has been slamming them left, right and center for being the son of a superstar of Bollywood. The actor has been facing this wrath for a lot of criticism throughout her career. And recently he reacted to the same saying that his father never produced a film for him nor picked any calls to finance his films. Abhishek Bachchan is quite chilled out but knows how to give it back to the trolls. He also responds to the trolls as and when he can in his own witty way.
He recently revealed that his father, Amitabh Bachchan, despite being the superstar and rich has never once financed any films he has starred in. In an interview with IANS, the actor revealed that on the contrary, he produced R Balki’s Paa. “The fact is he has never picked up the phone on anyone. He has never made a film for me. On the contrary, I have produced a film for him, called Paa,” the actor told the entertainment portal.
A couple of days ago, Abhishek was called out for having more followers than his Bol Bachchan co-star Prachi Desai. Replying to the social media user, he said, “I assure you Mr Singhal the amount of followers you have on social media is by no means a barometer of acceptance or popularity or talent. My friend @ItsPrachiDesai is a very talented actor and doesn’t need social media to endorse that. Her work speaks for itself.”
Before that, when the news of theatres reopening had surfaced, the actor had expressed his happiness on the same. And still, some people trolled him saying that he’ll still be jobless after that. Reacting to the same, the Dostana actor said, “That, alas, is in your (the audiences) hand. If you don’t like our work, we won’t get our next job. So we work to the best of our abilities and hope and pray for the best.”
