Diwali 2020: Amitabh Bachchan shares a throwback pic celebrating the festival with Jaya and Shweta

The festive season of Diwali is on. Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback pic to wish fans. In the picture Amitabh is seen in a white kurta pyjama while Jaya Bachchan is seen wearing a saree. Little Shweta Bachchan Nanda can also be seen holding a fulkhadi. “Many wishes for Deepawali. Happiness, peace and boundless love,” Big B wrote as he shared the pic. Have a look at his post below:

Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan revealed that they won’t be having a Diwali party this year. He told spotboye, “It’s true. We had a death in the family this year. My sister Shweta’s mother-in-law (Ritu Nanda) passed away. Besides, who hosts parties at a time like this?”

The actor added, “Civilization is going through the worst crisis ever. We all need to be as careful as possible. Observing the utmost social distance is the only option we have. And that too is not a guarantee against infection. Diwali parties and other social occasions are for now a distant dream.”

He recently revealed that his father, Amitabh Bachchan, despite being the superstar and rich has never once financed any films he has starred in. In an interview with IANS, the actor revealed that on the contrary, he produced R Balki’s Paa. “The fact is he has never picked up the phone on anyone. He has never made a film for me. On the contrary, I have produced a film for him, called Paa,” he said.

Replying to Twitter user who asked him how he bagged his next films after the 2008 debacle of Drona, Abhishek replied, “I didn’t. Was dropped from a few films and it was very difficult to get cast. But we live in hope and keep trying, hoping and working towards our goals. You have to get up every day and fight for your place under the sun. Nothing in life comes easy. Jab tak jeevan hai, sangharsh hai (you have to keep fighting till you are alive).”
