She is the most famous student of Mumbai’s Bhendi Bazaar Gharana. But do you know that the gharana has links to the legendary Tansen? The founders of the Gharana learnt music from Inayat Hussain Khan who was a student of Bahadur Khan who was a student of Tansen from Akbar’s Court.

School drop out
