Juhi Chawla left stranded at Mumbai airport for hours with fellow passengers; calls it ‘pathetic, shameful’ — watch video

Juhi Chawla, who was recently in the UAE to cheer for her team, Kolkata Knight Riders, which she co-owns with Shah Rukh Khan, returned to India soon after KKR’s failed to make it to the playoffs of IPL 2020 by the barest of margins. However, her return to the country was far less hospitable than what she or anybody else travelling with her could’ve imagined. Juhi Chawla and her fellow passengers on the flight were left stranded for hours at Mumbai Airport in the waiting area of the airport health clearance section, leading to a huge crowd in proximity of each other during the coronavirus pandemic.

Spreading awareness about their predicament and doing her bit to prevent it from happening to others, the actress posted a video on her official Twitter handle and wrote: “Request the Airport and Govt authorities to IMMEDIATELY deploy more officials and counters at the Airport Health clearance … all passengers stranded for hours after disembarking .. … flight after flight after flight …..Pathetic , shameful state ..!! @AAI_Official.” One passenger can also be seen addressing the airport staff in the video, and saying, “This is going to cause a lot of coronavirus, it will be your responsibility.” Watch the video below:

Incidentally, Juhi Chawla celebrates her birthday today, 13th November. Expressing her desire for a better environment in keeping with her recent conservational efforts, the veteran actress took to Twitter with a message for her fans and well-wishers. “My well-wishers, tomorrow is my birthday; the flowers you send in affection will die away in 3 days but trees you plant will benefit your children & mine for years..I’m ever so grateful for all the love but our farmers & our Earth need it more,” she wrote. Check out her post here…

We hope that our airport authorities take note. And happy birthday, Juhi Chawla.
