Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise is now being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation. In the mean time, Rhea Chakraborty is under judicial custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The body managed to get her judicial custody extended till October 6. The actress, and her brother Showik Chakraborty had filed bail plea in the Bombay High Court. The hearing was supposed to happen today. It seems her lawyer Satish Maneshinde was told yesterday that the hearing was postponed due to rains. It looks like it has been postponed further. She is lodged in the Byculla Women’s Prison while her brother is reportedly in the Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai.

Rhea Chakraborty came under the scanner of the NCB after drug chats were retrieved from her phone. In the chats, she is seen discussing CBD Oil and marijuana. She has told the authorities that she would only procure and finance it. However, after 36 hours of grilling she told them that she was a consumer as well. In her bail plea, she has written that no female officer was present during the interrogation. She also wrote that late Sushant Singh Rajput used people close to him to facilitate his drug habit, saying that he was too particular about not leaving behind a paper or digital evidence trail.

This is not all. In her new bail plea, she has written that the actor’s relations with his family were strained. She says he thought they were after his money. The actress says that Sushant started hearing his mother’s voice in June when he was at the height of his depression. Dr Kersi Chavda and psychotherapist Dr Susan Walker Moffat have said that he was suffering from bipolar disorder. It seems he was on heavy dose of anti-depressants but did not take his medicines on a regular basis. This caused deterioration in his condition in 2020, and it aggravated in June.
