Marieatta Mendis from Delhi made it to the hot seat in Thursday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 11. She played well and crossed the second ‘padhav’ with the help of four lifelines. But the eleventh question worth Rs 6,40,000 saw her exiting the Amitabh Bachchan’s show.

The question which Marieatta failed to answer was ‘Annie Sharp, a Christian missionary from England, founded the first school for whom in India in Amritsar in 1887?’ Options were Visually impaired, Street children, Bonded labourers and Widows. The Delhi resident picked Street Children as her answer, but it was the wrong answer. The correct answer was Visually Impaired.

The next contestant to take the hot seat was Khushboo Tiwari from Madhya Pradesh. In Thursday’s episode, she won Rs 5000. She will resume playing in Friday’s episode.
