Love Island host Caroline Flack reveals reason for Yewande’s lack of screen time

Love Island 2019 viewers have been hitting out at the ITV2 dating show this week, after noticing certain islanders lacked air-time.

Yewande, Callum and Michael all appeared to be “missing” before being shown a lot more this weekend.

Aftersun host Caroline Flack agreed that Yewande had barely been seen, but soon provided a potential reason of why this might be.

Amid fans hitting out at the show editing, Caroline suggested it was in fact her lack of romance that was to blame.

Those involved in romances, love triangles and even villa drama are obviously bound to be shown more.

With the episodes on for roughly an hour a night, 24 hours of footage has to be cut down.

But amid viewers claiming Yewande, and other islanders, were being left out from the episodes, Caroline questioned whether it was more to do with the biggest moments going on in the villa at the time.

She explained: “We haven’t really seen enough of Yewande yet have we, but is it purely because she just hasn’t fancied anyone…”

Guest panellist AJ Odudu had her say, confessing she felt the beauty might have self-esteem issues, and might not be ready to take on romance just yet.

She told Caroline: “I think Yewande has self-esteem issues, I really do, I feel like she’s her biggest barrier in there.”

The team, and viewers, are hoping she might be about to find love, with the arrival of bombshell Danny Williams.

Danny will take both her and Amber on a date in tomorrow night’s episode, leaving fans worried about what will happen.

Love Island: Aftersun airs Sundays at 10pm on ITV2.
