Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan have started shooting for their upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. Some of the fan pages have shared photos of the actors from the sets of the film, giving a sneak-peek into their respective character looks. While Aamir can be seen flaunting his handlebar mustache and heavy bearded look, Kareena was seen in a simple pink salwaar-kameez.

Laal Singh Chaddha, which is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, will showcase India’s growth in the past few years. The film marks the third project of Kareena and Aamir together, who have worked in films such as Talaash and 3 Idiots.

Earlier this month, the makers shared the official motion logo of the film. The short clip featured a feather (just like the one that made an appearance in the original Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump) along with a song which plays in the background with the lyrics, “Kya pata hum mein hain kahani ya hain kahani mein hum” (Who knows if we carry the stories inside us, or we are mere characters inside the story of life).

Laal Singh Chaddha will be directed by Advait Chauhan, who delivered a hit film Secret Superstar, which starred Aamir in a pivotal role.

Laal Singh Chaddha will release on Christmas next year.
