Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2: Akanksha Juneja aka Kanak opens up on Rupal Patel’s exit; says, ‘I will surely miss all cast members of season 1’

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 has been impressive and fans loved the new story of Gopi and Kokilaben. The show began on October 19 and has got good numbers on the TRP list. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rupal Patel, Mohammad Nazim and others did a great job and made us fall in love with the Modi family once again. The new story focuses on Gehna and Anant played by Sneha Jain and Harsh Nagar. However, the highlight of the show have been the old characters, Gopi bahu, Kokilaben, and Ahem Modi. Rupal Patel recently shot for her last episode and would be leaving. It is also reported that Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Mohammad Nazim will also leave the show soon. Akanksha Juneja who plays Kanak Desai in the show spoke about Kokilaben’s exit from the show. In an interview with Spotboye, she revealed that she will miss the cast of season 1.

Akanksha said, “I am sad that she is leaving. I will surely miss all cast members of season 1. We really had a great time.” It was earlier reported that Akanksha had a lot of issues with the production team as they gave a lot of attention to Rupal Patel and Devoleena Bhattacharjee but Akanksha later refused the news. Earlier, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rupal Patel spoke about her exit from the show. She said, “Everything was pre-decided, and we are parting on amicable terms. I’m a National School of Drama (NSD )graduate with over 20 years of experience. I don’t need to do such small parts but only agreed to SNS 2 to show gratitude to my audience, the show, and the channel. When SNS2 was announced, I was expected to return and I didn’t want to disappoint.”

Mohammad Nazim, too, had spoken about his and Devoleena’s exit from the show. In an interview with TellyChakkar, he said, “This is not true. Though I am not shooting right now because I am on leave for a few days. I would have definitely shared the news with the fans if we had wrapped up the shooting. However, we haven’t been informed by the makers or the channel about our last day shoot yet.”
