Bigg Boss 12’s Srishty Rode on controversial format: Nobody is asking you to watch it on gunpoint

Bigg Boss is one of the most controversial Indian reality TV shows. There hasn’t been a season where there were no controversies created whilst the show was airing on the national television. Such is the format of the show that leads to controversies and it is one of the reasons why the makers decided to switch it from a prime time slot to a late-night slot. Former Bigg Boss contestant Srishty Rode has opened up on the same in an interview. The actress who participated on the show in season 12 is rooting for her three friends, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla and Eijaz Khan in the house.

When asked whether the controversial format of the show is hampering the Indian culture, the actress was quick to say that nobody hass asked people to watch the show on a gun point. “Not at all. If you think this, then don’t watch it. You always have an option of not watching something if you think it is not right for yourself or your family. Nobody is asking you to watch it on gunpoint. For me, Bigg Boss is really entertaining,” Srishty Rode told E-Times.

When asked about the contestants of the show Srishty said, “All the contestants seem to be quite interesting this time, and I am excited about three of my friends inside the Bigg Boss house,” while adding, “Rubina is gradually coming out as a strong contestant. Although I felt bad when Abhinav and Rubina were separated. But it is good for both of them as now people would want to see them together rather than separately. I feel that now they will come back stronger together.”

The actress also spoke about how during a task, the Toofani Seniors put forth a condition in front of Rubina to stay in one set of clothes for a week. She called it unreasonable as it’s unhygienic. She heaped praises for Eijaz saying, “Eijaz has a lovely personality, opposite of what people say about him. And I want everyone to witness that side of his personality.”

Srishty also spoke about Nikki Tamboli saying, “She is entertaining. But there is a thin line between entertaining and irritating, and right now she is everywhere.” However, the actress added that this is just a start and it’s too soon to judge anyone so early on the show.
