Box Office Collection Day 2 Early Estimates: Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh gather momentum | Bollywood Life

Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy’s Made In China failed to get a great head start at the box office, as did Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s Saand Ki Aankh. Both the movie suffered big time due to tough competition from Housefull 4. The reincarnation comedy opened to Rs 19.08 cr at the box office, while Made In China could only earn approximately Rs 1 crore. Saand Ki Aankh, on the other hand, managed to mint Rs 50 lakhs. That’s sad, isn’t? Despite receiving positive reviews from the critics, Saand Ki Aankh failed to perform at the ticket windows on day one. However, if early estimates of day 2 are to be believed, the film about Shooter Dadis has gathered momentum and so has Made In China. There’s still a ray of hope left for these films.

According to the early estimates, Saand Ki Aankh collected Rs 1.25 crore on Saturday and the film’s total now stands at Rs 1.75 crore. As for Made In China, the sex-comedy reportedly earned Rs 1.5 crore on day 2, which brings the film’s total to Rs 2.5 crore.

In a 4 star review of Saand Ki Aankh, our critic wrote, “Saand Ki Aankh is at once an stirring biopic, a sensitive female-centric film, a telling feminist statement, an emotional family drama, and a rousing underdog story. This is a biopic that neither needs to dilute the truth nor exalt its protagonists because their tale is so captivating on its own, and Director Tushar Hiranandani (marking a fantastic debut) in unison with writer Balwinder Singh Janjua juice the incredible true story down to its last refreshing drop. There are scenes that leave you enthralled at their sheer improbability, inspired by the hurdles that are overcome, and touched by the solidarity shown for each other by the female characters.”

Let’s see how Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh score at the box office in coming days.
