On Monday, Charley Webb utilised the Story feature on the social media platform as she showed off her glittery nails in a selfie snap. The 33-year-old captioned the photo with an explanation as to why she had not been able to change her nail set.

And judging by her post, the Emmerdale star was not happy about it either.

“The Christmas nail are here to stay for another week due to my lovely nail technician having to isolate,” she wrote.

“I’m slightly furious that I can’t change them/still loving being Christmassy.”

It’s been quite a start to the new year for Charley, who confirmed her departure from the ITV soap last week.

During a Q&A session with fans last week, the Bury-born actress hinted that her reason for stepping away from her role as Debbie was partly to spend more time with her family.

After an incredible 19 years on the soap, the mother-of-three indicated that quality time with her children is how she plans to spend her new year.

“This is always my most asked question but I’ve never answered it before because I’ve never wanted to make a big deal of it,” she explained on top of a family photo.

“I left to have Ace 2 years ago,” I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline.”

She added: “So, I guess officially it’s been a year.”

Charley had also answered a question from a fan wondering if she’s still planning on having more children with her husband, fellow Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden.

The couple is already parents to sons Buster, 11, Bowie, six, and Ace, three.

“Are you going to have any more bubbas? Xx,” the curious fan asked.

Charley responded, expressing that she wasn’t done expanding her family just yet, adding that she’d been feeling rather “broody” lately.

“People say you know when you’re done having babies,” she expressed.

“I don’t feel that way. I’m actually really broody at the moment but it’s just not quite the right time.”

Despite her decision to leave the soap, Charley spent her New Year’s Eve bash celebrating with some of her closest co-stars.

Alongside her partner, Charley appeared in good spirits as she partied up a storm with the likes of Emma Atkins, Lucy Pargeter, Jeff Hordley and his wife Zoe Henry.

She shared a series of snaps from the fun-filled occasion involving booze and music.

“My New Years Eve Crew,” she said.

“Best night with some of my favouritests.” (sic)
